Cherry is a consummate professional, who possesses a unique personal singing style. What makes her so unique is the skillful and ingenious way she has weaved and blended Jazz and Gospel, but also her inimitable style, passion and grace that infuse her performances.

Sarah Lawrence proved to be more than an educational experience, for it was here that Cherry's natural talent for singing and performing would take root and later crystallize. This was followed by an invitation from Shirley Kaplan, a well-respected and talented Director, to audition for a role in her original off Broadway Musical "In Praise of Falling".

1984 and the years following saw Cherry devoting her energy, love, creativity and passion to raising her young family. However, it would only be a matter of time before her creative spirit would seek its natural release and expression. It was at that time that she met Bela Balint (Jazz Pianist/Composer), and together they performed at several weddings and private functions. 1996 would find Cherry working on “Onward”, her musical autobiography, with none other than Jimmy Bell, a London based Impresario, and with the late David Honigsberg. This is characteristic of the energy, vitality and generosity of spirit that Cherry exudes.

Cherry has further developed her credentials as a professional artist by working as a backup singer with such international renowned artists as Sarah Connor, Meat Loaf, Craig David and Joe Cocker on the Swiss television programme Benissimo. She has also performed in Havana, Cuba with Cuban trumpeter Tony Alonso. In 2006, Cherry was invited to open The Holetown Festival, a major tourist attraction on the cultural calendar of her native Barbados.

In 1997, Cherry collaborated with Richard Broadnax and the Zion Gospel Singers and this year they will celebrate thirteen years of performing together. Since 2007, Cherry has worked with the Soulmates, Martin Eigenmann and other Zurich based groups and musicians.
